your refrigerator condensor need to be clean at least every other year there is always dust in the air and over time it get stuck in the condensor,if you have cats and dogs the hair that they shed floats in the air and help to clog the condensor in a shorter period of time,when your condensor is clogged the compressor have to work longer and harder,it will over heat and some times burn out,most compressors burn out in the summer because of the extra heat it has to deal with,i also see a lot of kids drawings on paper stuck to the refrigerator,it's cute and all but sometimes that piece of paper fall on the ground and find its way under the refrigerator and get stuck in the fan blade and stop the refrigerator from working
